Fortis Technologies Ltd
Innovation - Quality - Value - Sustainability
Fortis Technologies was established in 2005 to provide novel products and add value to the HPLC column market. Fortis Technologies was founded by directors with over 20 year experience extensively within the silica manufacturing and HPLC industry. At Fortis Technologies the driving goal is to provide products that meet and exceed customers requirements.
Method TransferWould you like to transfer your
old LC methods with long retention times down to something more productive
for sample throughput? Our transfer application note and calculator
will allow you to transfer methods to Fortis UHPLC or Core-Shell particles
with the minimum of fuss.

Fortis Technologies has launched its new core-shell stationary phase, SpeedCore C18-PFP.Designed with increased resolution in mind, it provides extra selectivity for analysts as well as very high efficiency due to the core-shell silica particle.Orthogonal selectivity is something that many strive for when traditional C18 columns fail to separate, so the new SpeedCore C18-PFP is designed to provide changes to elution order and selectivity. Difficult to analyse compounds and closely related species can be separated due to the different mechanisms of interaction achievable on this stationary phase. Available as a 2.6um or 5um particle, high efficiency is standard, now the selectivity gains can lead to faster high resolution separation. |
Products:
Fortis C18 is the very latest in C18 technology. Replace your current silica and hybrid columns with just one silica based stationary phase, no need for multiple columns for low and high pH. Fortis C18 is designed with all of these factors in mind: Sharpest Peak Shape's pH Stability up to pH12 Optimum Resolution Ease of Method Transfer Full Scale Up capability.
Fortis H2O is designed to aid in those difficult polar seperations. Built upon similar technology to Fortis C18, but incorporating a polar endcapping functionality in order to provide, not only a selectivity enhancement but also added retention of polar analytes. Fortis H2O is designed with all of these factors in mind: Retention of Polars Added Selectivity Method Development.
Fortis Diphenyl is designed to provide characteristics which will enhance selectivity. Extra selectivity and retention can be found for polar substrates, along with metabolite profiling. Positional Isomers can also be separated using this stationary phase. Fortis Diphenyl is designed with all of these factors in mind: Unique Selectivity Aromatic Retention and Selectivity Enhanced Polar Retention Positional Isomers.
Fortis C8 is designed to provide characteristics similar to Fortis C18 but specifically for situations where less hydrophobicity is required. The same gains in peak shape, efficiency, resolution and scalability are available providing increased productivity to the analyst. Fortis C8 is designed with all of these factors in mind: Reduced hydrophobicity over C18 Excellent Peak Shapes Fully Scalable.
Fortis Pace columns are designed with high throughput screening (HTS) applications in mind. An optimised hardware design for use in LC-MS to provide greatest sensitivity by achieving sharp peak shapes combined with excellent resolution and retention. Any of the Fortis phase chemistries are available in this hardware design. Fortis Pace is designed with all of these factors in mind: LC-MS Optimised High Throughput 20mm and 30mm lengths Excellent Peak Shape High Efficiency and Resolution.
Fortis BIO is available as a C18 or C4 stationary phase, with a choice of particle sizes including 1.7 µm especially for UHPLC use.
Fortis SpeedCore is the very latest in technology, providing low backpressure, high efficiency separations. By having an orthogonal choice of selectivity's you can optimise resolution even with high speed separations.
2.6µm particles incorporate a 1.8µm solid core, with a 0.4µm outer porous shell.
Fortis Capillaries:
Fortis capillaries are available with any phase chemistry and with any particle size from the Fortis range. To find out more about the phase chemistry characteristics please refer to the full Product brochure.
