Transfer Ring R.A.M.™ 9mm Screw Thread Vial
| J.G. Finneran the industry leader in quality chromatography vials and accessories introduces the new Transfer Ring 9mm Vial for use in robotic arm autosamplers. The transfer ring allows a robotic arm to pick up the vial without having a closure on the vial. When the transfer ring vial is used with a closure, the ring prevents over torquing (over-tightening) the closure thus providing a tight seal and eliminates any evaporation concerns.Our 9mm Transfer Ring R.A.M.™ Vial has a 6mm diameter providing a 40% larger opening which aids in sample transfers, as well as a larger target area to prevent bent needles. The glass vial is manufactured from 33 expansion, low extractable borosilicate glass conforming to USP Type I and ASTM E438, Class A requirements. This glass also meets the requirements of the most current revisions of the European Pharmacopeia and Japanese Pharmacopeia for the Type I or hydrolytic glass. The alkali content is low, and it is made without elements of the calcium magnesium and zinc group of heavy metals. This glass is considered the "gold” standard in the industry. |

Chemists gain a whole new perspective on sample handling with Vista Vial™ series chromatography vials fromJ.G. Finneran Associates. The patented, two-part design consists of a glass base and a polyethylene top that snaps together to form a standard 12x32mm autosampler vial. The glass base provides a wide target for pipettes and is ideal for highly viscous and foaming samples. The polyethylene top is available with 8-425mm threaded, 9mm threaded or 11mm Snap Seal™ neck finishes offering chemists a choice of closure systems. Depending on the sample, disposal of vials is easier as the plastic can be incinerated intact without the need for closure removal.

The Vista Vial™ 1.0mL volume glass base is constructed of Type 1 borosilicate glass in either clear or amber. The polyethylene top accommodates 8-425mm standard and 9mm R.A.M. screw thread closures and septa. Threaded closures and septa are available individually or pre-assembled. The Vista Vial™ with 11mm Snap Seal™ finish accepts J.G. Finneran Poly Crimp™ seals, Snap Top Caps™ and standard aluminum seals. Pre-crimping the Vista Vial tops saves time and eliminates the need for expensive crimping tools in the lab. There is no need for a decapper to remove the polyethylene top from the glass base, avoiding the usual risks caused by decapping aluminum seals such as broken vial necks and cuts from sharp aluminum.
"The Vista Vial is perfect for handling highly viscous oil samples or foamy detergents that researchers were trying to force into the narrow neck of a standard autosampler vial,” says Janet Cohen, International Sales and Marketing Manager at J.G. Finneran Associates. "After evaluating the problem, we came up with a solution that was ultimately patented,” she added.
